Roads of Jade does not currently offer user accounts, paid accounts, Google login, Discord login, or email/password login. We do not ask for your real name, email address, password, billing address, or payment information.

When you use the game, we may collect or process:

• The player name you choose to display in lobbies and games.
• Your selected player color and local profile preferences.
• A random anonymous browser identifier generated by the game.
• Lobby codes, game IDs, reconnect tokens, launch tokens, and connection status.
• Gameplay actions needed to run the game, such as joining, drawing cards, claiming routes, and finishing games.
• Technical information such as browser type, device type, operating system, page path, error messages, and connection events.
• IP addresses and request metadata that may be processed by our hosting, server, logs, security tooling, and advertising partners.

We process gameplay data so the server can operate lobbies and enforce the rules of the game. This can include public game state, private player state, destination tickets, train cards, route claims, scores, bot participation, and game completion information.

Roads of Jade is designed around temporary multiplayer sessions. We do not currently sell virtual items, store account inventories, or maintain account-based match history for users.

Roads of Jade uses browser storage to make the game work smoothly. Local storage may keep your anonymous browser ID, display name, default player color, and reconnect tokens for games you joined. Session storage may keep short-lived lobby launch tokens while moving from a lobby into a game.

Third-party services used on the site, including Google AdSense and analytics providers, may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies. You can adjust your browser settings to block cookies or clear local storage, but some game features, reconnects, analytics, or ads may not work as intended.

In production, Roads of Jade may use PostHog analytics when configured. Analytics events help us understand whether the site loads, whether lobbies and games work, when WebSocket connections disconnect, and when client or server errors occur. We configure analytics to collect explicit events rather than automatic page autocapture.

Analytics events may include the anonymous browser ID, page path, game ID, lobby code, game mode, map ID, player counts, bot counts, action error codes, connection status, and exception details. We use this information to improve stability, gameplay, and abuse prevention.

Roads of Jade uses Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may serve ads on this site and may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, measure ad performance, limit repeated ads, and help prevent fraud or abuse.

Google may use advertising cookies, including cookies associated with personalized ads, based on your visits to this and other websites. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate Roads of Jade, including hosting providers, analytics providers, and advertising partners. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the security or integrity of the service, or to prevent abuse, fraud, or harm.

Browser-stored preferences remain on your device until you clear site data or your browser removes them. Short-lived lobby launch tokens are stored only for the current browser session. Active lobby and game data is kept as needed to run the game session.

Server logs, analytics events, and advertising records may be retained by us or our service providers for operational, security, debugging, legal, and measurement purposes. Retention periods can vary based on provider settings and operational needs.

You can limit or remove some data by:

• Choosing a player name that does not identify you personally.
• Clearing local storage, session storage, and cookies for roadsofjade.com.
• Using browser privacy controls to block or delete cookies.
• Managing Google ad personalization and industry advertising opt-outs.
• Contacting us with privacy questions or deletion requests.

Roads of Jade is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the site, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the service. No online service can guarantee perfect security. You should avoid using real names or sensitive personal information as your public player name.
